This is a complete beginners Silversmithing class, so no experience is needed. During the class you will learn about traditional Silversmithing tools, how to solder, texture silver and form your own ring to fit, finishing off with polishing techniques. You can personalise your ring with letter, shapes and number stamps before adding two silver ‘spinner rings’.

Price includes the silver to make one wide silver band ring and copper to practice and two spinners.

Starting with copper, build your confidence using a piercing saw & playing with texture hammers to find the patterns you like! Then choose the silhouette shape you would like to make your pendant into & create your piece in silver.

Once you have your shape its time to refine, polish and finish up by soldering on your jump ring.

This is the perfect class to et started using a saw and the next step closer to joining the Sea Glass Setting or Gemstone Ring class, which do require some previous experience.

You will mainly work with wire, twisting, texturing and manipulating to create your own hoop earrings. As well as soldering and texturing you will learn to form your earrings and finishing off with polishing techniques.

As well as soldering and texturing you will learn to form your rings and finish off with polishing techniques.

During the class you can make up to 4 silver rings and 1 copper to practice.

During this intermediates and improvers class learn how to set a cowrie shell into a sterling silver setting to make a unique and stunning necklace.

Having some experience using a piercing saw and blow torch to solder will help you make the most of the class and create a beautifully finished piece.

Learn how to use a piercing saw to cut a template shape of a flower of your choice from sheet silver, before refining your piece with files and using hammers to texture in your own way. Learn the very fun process of melting silver balls to decorate the centre of your flower before polishing and soldering to either a ring or creating jump rings for a necklace.

During this intermediate/improvers class learn how to create a silver bezel cup to house a piece of sea glass which can then be made into either a ring or pendant. There is opportunity to texture, stamp and add different polishing and finishing techniques to your piece, depending on how you design your unique piece of jewellery.

This class has been designed for beginners and those looking to improve their skills. Over the two evenings, you will taught the art of piercing, which is to saw details in metal. You can create your own design or choose from stencils provided.

These can make two smaller pieces for earrings or more of a statement pendant. You can layer metals to add depth or leave the light to flow through your piece for something more delicate.

Setting stones is always very popular, as choosing a stone is a very exciting and personal process. You can bring along your own stone, or choose from my collection.

I will teach you how to make a prong setting to protect your stone and show it off by allowing both the front and back to be admired. This is a slightly more advanced class, so it is advised you have been to one of my classes or similar, so you can come prepared with the basic skills and make the most of the class.

Keum Boo is the Korean technique of adding gold accents to your pieces using 24ct gold leaf. Over this two part course you will explore different textures using a range of materials, texture plates and rolling mill techniques to design your chosen piece of jewellery. You will then be shown the process of depleting silver before fusing gold leaf to create a permanent bond to your silver jewellery.

Once a month, join me for Jewellery Club. Have full use of tools, rolling mill, the polishing wheel and support to create your own projects.

You must have basic skills and knowledge to design and plan your own projects with me there to offer support in your making.
